Sharing good news

It's great to read some good news in a Liverpool Newspaper about our industry for a change

"Communisis is set to open it's new facility in Speke, Liverpool and already has created 80 new jobs and by the end of 2008, will employ up to 500 people at it's centre of excellence for the Group." For the City of Liverpool, this is fantastic news and I am sure that the people at Communisis are pretty happy about it too.

I don't know whether it's because the press still have this idea that bad news sells, but mostly what you read about in Newspapers and Magazines is x company is closing, y company is making redundances, z company is struggling.

I talk to many people in our industry and enjoy the conversations we have about how they can find the right people to take their business forward, about how they are expanding and need more people and are generally very upbeat about the future of their business and the industry.

So I am going to make sure that whenever I hear good news, I tell you about it.
