The great British workforce!
BT is planning to bring 2000 call centre jobs back from India to the UK. Hoorah for the British workforce .... or so you would think.
Unions have warned employees would be forced to change their working hours to fit in with India which is 4.5 hours ahead. Workers would be expected to work until 11pm and work Saturdays and Sundays. The Unions have said it is unfair to expect employees with families to adopt these working hours.
Surely there are families who would welcome the weekend and late working hours so that their partners could look after the children.
For me this is exactly what is wrong with the attitude of the British workforce or could it be the Unions just stirring trouble again.
