Internet Adspend is rocketing
I just received my daily bulletin from Brand Republic and was really encouraged to read that internet advertising is continuing to grow.
In summary what the research by the World Advertising Research Centre is saying about the UK marketplace is:
Internet Advertising up by 42% in the last quarter to £648m.
Outdoor Advertising up by 7.7% to £237m.
Cinema Advertising up 10% to £30m.
"The hardest hit by far was the business magazine sector, with adspend plummeting 6.6% to £203m."
"This was followed by regional newspapers, which fell 3.8% to £705m."
These figures demonstrate two things to me, number one I'm in the right business and number two how much more potential there is for the internet to grow.
