Nick, you have raised some really interesting points and I thank you for endorsing oZZle. Interestingly enough I was just reading some data that 69% of Job Seekers placed in the UK were by Recruitment Agencies, but in the US only 5% of Job Seekers were placed by Recruitment Agencies and they were mainly very senior level appointments.

The UK will undoubtably follow the US which will eliminate the "bad" Recruitment Agencies and allow the really good ones to truly add value to the Employers and Job Seekers in the market.
