The power of a Thank You note
The very best thing about my job is that I get to hear a lot of success and horror stories about everything from selling to interviews to personal experiences.
I was talking to an individual earlier who was talking about filling their latest vacancy. We were discussing the individual she hired and you could hear the smile in her voice when she said "can you believe that after the first interview, he sent me a handwritten note saying how much he enjoyed our time together, and summarised his skills that were relevant to my position".
She employed this guy 2 days later!!
Clearly the power of a follow up is immense and a personal handwritten note has far more impact than an email.
You can use the Thank You note in so many different ways, try sending a note to follow up after a sales call to demonstrate you really care about their business, or send a thank you note after a training session that was particularly valuable.
